Visitor Center Majal Blanco

The Majal Blanco allows to know, in an entertaining and interactive way, the ecological and cultural of the Municipal Park of the Majal Blanco, one of the most visited and best preserved natural environments in the regional capital and which is included in the Carrascoy Regional Park and Valley.

In the exhibition of the Visitor Center there is a tour of the environmental and cultural values ​​of the area

The tour begins with a global vision of Majal Blanco through a large satellite photograph on which the different short-distance trails that cross the Municipal Park are superimposed. Along with this photograph, some viewers allow us to observe the landscapes of the area in 3D.

The review of the geological history of Majal Blanco is complemented by a small exhibition of real fossils, which can be touched and observed carefully using magnifying glasses.

Discover the fauna and flora of Majal Blanco

In the Fauna panel, the traces left by different animals stand out, apart from being able to interactively listen to the song of the birds in the area, including the majestic eagle owl. In the final area of the tour you can visit a backlit recreation of the Mediterranean mixed forest. The cycle closes with the narration of the old Settlers of the very house in which the center is located, who explain what their daily life was like.

The Nature Classroom located in the middle of the farm is a renovated facility with the charm of stone

It has two classrooms that are used as workshops, library, kitchen, toilets and an amphitheater for outdoor activities. In the Nature Classroom, environmental education and awareness activities are carried out, aimed at both schoolchildren and the general population.
